  • How do we know we can trust your employees? 
    • Each employee undergoes a background check. As a subscriber, you are our family, we would never send someone to your home that we wouldn’t trust on our own, or that we wouldn’t trust alone with our families. Trust is important to us, and we know it’s important to you.

  • How much does the Standard Service Package cost, and are there any hidden fees?
    • Our standard service package is $99 a month for townhomes and homes under 1100 square feet. And $124.91 per month for any home over 1100 square feet. At the lower size home the inspection days are slotted for 3 hours, meaning there is on average 2 hours per visit for repairs. At the larger size home the inspection days are slotted for 4 hours, meaning there is on average 2.5 hours per visit for repairs.
  • Can I customise the package to fit my specific needs?
    • Yes, We have monthly prices for each add on, or if you don’t want the service to repeat annually, you can call us anytime and request an additional service and you’ll receive your discount off our standard price for the service.
  • How often will maintenance visits occur?
    • For the standard service package it includes 2 visits per year. One visit in the summer for the exterior and one visit in the winter for the interior. 
  • What happens if I don’t need some of the services included in the package?
    • We believe that the Standard package has the very basics to be built off of, but if there is something in there that you truly don’t require we can help you build a custom plan that services your home to your exact specifications. 
  • What if an issue arises between scheduled visits?
    • Simply give us a call and we will be there within 3 business days for a non emergency and 24 hours for an emergency to address the issue or for larger issues, start the planning process for how to proceed.
  • How quickly will someone respond to an emergency?
    • As quickly as possible. We will respond according to the level of the emergency. Flooding or leaks being the highest priority. 
  • Are there additional charges for emergency services?
    • Yes. These are billed at exactly 2x the standard rate. 
  • Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan after signing up?
    • Yes, We are here to serve you the best that we can.
  • What if I’m not satisfied with the quality of the service?
    • If you’re not satisfied and we can’t do anything to make you satisfied, simply don’t pay for any of the labour. We believe our service is the best, and if we don’t hit that standard on any given visit, we don’t believe you should have to pay. 
  • How do you ensure the quality of the work being done?
    • Each technician is fully trained by the owner, who is a second generation contractor with over a decade of experience, this as well as having extremely detailed systems and processes for each job and task ensures every issue is dealt with with expert care and attention, in the same way every time. 
  • What qualifications and experience do your service technicians have?
    • Our personal technicians are certified home inspectors and have hands-on, in-house training before being sent off on their own. Any subcontracted work is subcontracted to fully licensed and insured companies that have been personally vetted and have an ongoing relationship with JJ Legacy Contracting. 
  • Will I have the same technician every time, or will it vary?
    • Our goal is to have each client always deal with the same technicians, but due to vacations and sick days, or growing in the company, some technicians may not be available on the given days, meaning we can not guarantee the same technician but will always be the same technician to the best of our ability. 
  • How do you handle scheduling? Will I need to be home for every visit?
    • For scheduling, We schedule our visits at your convenience, once the home has had a detailed walkthrough and initial set up done with you, you are not required to be home for the visit. Either give us the code to your home or we can take a key and make a copy to be stored safely in our shop. 
  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule a service appointment?
    • We understand that life happens, if you need to reschedule or cancel more than 24 hours from the appointment there is no charge, less than 24 hours we charge a $99 fee to cover some of the cost of the missed work for our technician. 
  • Are the materials and products used during maintenance covered under warranty?
    • Our warranties and guarantees only apply to our craftsmanship and our labour. If the materials are damaged due to any faulty craftsmanship we will replace the materials as part of the warranty. Unfortunately, due to the massive range of materials that we deal with it is impossible for us to warranty each material. 
  • How does the “Happy Money” guarantee work in practice?
    • If a client calls with legitimate concerns about our services provided, our first response is to do whatever we can to take the situation and turn it into a positive one for the customer by sending the technician out again, or if requested a new technician to fix the problem. If there is nothing we can do to make the client happy with the outcome, we either refund all labour costs, or simply don’t bill for any labour costs. Our goal is to serve you as the client the best we can, if we fail to do this we don’t believe you should pay. 
  • What areas do you service? Are there any limitations?
    • In house we are carpenters, currently we do not have in house electricians or plumbers, this means that any of these services would have to be subbed out. We do not call these limits to our services as each of our subtrades have long standing relationships with us and we stand by their work as much as our own. In any situation where a sub trade is required, we will have one of our employees there, as we know you hired us and specifically trust us to oversee it all. 
  • What if I want to handle some maintenance tasks myself? Can I opt out of certain services?
    • Absolutely.
