Transforming a Home, One Room at a Time
When this Glen Abbey homeowner came to us, they had a vision—a more open and modern main floor and an updated ensuite—but they weren’t sure where to start. They needed guidance, expert planning, and a team that could handle everything from design to execution.
At JJ Legacy Contracting, we walked with them through the entire process: from initial concepts and architectural designs (in partnership with White Willow Designs) to interior design selections (with Julie Lopez Design) and finally bringing their dream to life.
The Project:
Main Floor Remodel – We removed two walls, installed structural beams, and completely renovated the kitchen with custom cabinets, quartz countertops, a mix of quartz and old-world stone backsplash, all-new lighting, vinyl floors, trim, and even fresh carpet and paint on the stair railings.
Ensuite Transformation – A full gut and rebuild featuring a custom shower, new tub, vanity, tile flooring, fresh paint, and trim for a cohesive and luxurious finish.
The Challenge:
Renovations always bring surprises! In this case, we discovered a return air vent hidden inside one of the walls we were removing. Instead of compromising the design, we collaborated with the interior designer to turn it into a stylish feature—a decorative bump-out wall that seamlessly blended into the space while maintaining proper airflow.
The Result?
A beautiful, functional, and cohesive remodel—delivered on time and below budget. The only minor delay was a bathroom vanity caught up in a dockworkers’ strike, but that didn’t stop us from completing the rest of the project seamlessly.
